Content marketing is quickly becoming one of the best ways to capture an audience attention. Consumers see advertisements all day everyday. They are getting really good at determining what is an advertisement, and how to avoid it. I would argue that content may be more important for businesses than traditional advertising. Organic content, such as blog writing, allows consumers to determine if you are trustworthy or not. It also gives them an insight in to your company culture.
Say for example, that you do amazing CSR. Consumers will better understand and believe this if you share it through your blog and social media, rather than traditional advertising. Blog writing allows your audience to feel connected to you. If they see your blog, because one of their friends shared it on social media, then you are gaining word of mouth for your company. You are also probably gaining web traffic and customers. We all know that personal recommendations are the most effective form of new business generation. Well, when your audience shares your blog with their social media network, think of it as a personal recommendation.
Blog writing creates ROI, website traffic, brand awareness and trustworthiness. There are endless reasons why you company could benefit from a good blog, with organic content.
