Game Changers I met at Techweek

On June 22, we ventured out to join TechWeek in producing Chicago’s very own TechWeek. By partnering with TechWeek, Mabbly was able to see firsthand Chicago’s amazing Entrepreneurs sharing and exploring fresh ideas. Mabbly sent out a team of nine interns to help TechWeek with everything from registering people to setting up the Elevate 2015 Breakfast. After a week of constant chaos and awesome opportunities, the interns walked away with memories that will last forever.
ContextMedia, a health information services company, provides digital media technologies to patients in waiting rooms, hospital rooms, and homes around the country. By placing lifestyle education in the reach of patients, ContextMedia makes it possible to learn about your illness and improve upon your health outcome. ContextMedia is the fastest growing company in the industry, but makes every experience unique by personalizing media for each member office. With amazing success in their field and strong results in marketing strategies, ContextMedia continues to flourish and out perform the rest of the industry. This was evident by their eye-catching presence at TechWeek Chicago, where they used their strong marketing skills to take advantage of the offered events.
Shiftgig is revolutionizing the industry with a hire-at-moments-notice system. They connect people everywhere with companies in their interested industry by providing a hire by shift system. For talent, you simply download the app, apply for a job you’re interested in, go work, and get paid. For businesses, you can find anyone at the last second to fill that gap in your staff. This system is great for unemployed or fulltime employees looking for a little extra cash on the side, while also helping to make those right connections through networking. The Charlie App helps the user with researching those he or she is meeting with before an important meeting. Charlie combs through hundreds of sources to send the user a one-page outline about the people who are going into the meeting. This amazing app will update its information automatically and send the updated information before the user ever steps into the meeting. This app is interactive and highly helpful saving the user time and helps them make a great impression. Charlie has saved me several times, from walking into meetings without any research.
Scout is a new breed of security. This security system allows the users to use any mobile device to stay connected and aware of what is going on. Each of the components is designed to be convenient to place anywhere in the home. What really makes Scout so unique is that it is highly effective, but it is also very personal. Every user of Scout can personally design not only what components for home security they need, but also the design and finish of each component. When I met the team at Techweek, I was really excited to learn how innovated Scout was, they are disrupting a highly antiquated industry at a time when everyone is talking about smart homes.
