ETA CPP confirms Payline Data’s leadership is certifiable
For the past year, the payments industry has been under fire since credit card fraud has reached new highs (make that lows) in the US. As merchants move to upgrade their point-of-sale hardware, other industry leaders are taking even more precautions.
To ensure the highest level of performance, Payline Data recently completed the ETA Certified Payments Professional™ (ETA CPP) program administered by the Electronic Transactions Association. By joining an exclusive community of electronic transactions companies with certification, Payline Data continues to offer the highest level of expertise to electronic transactions.
Launched in 2011, the ETA certification program requires companies to demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to perform competently in today's complex electronic payments environment. Recognizing that merchant service providers must have a broad knowledge of the industry, the program requires companies to demonstrate mastery not only of sales, but also pricing and interchange; business process, operations and workflow; products and solutions; risk; and regulatory, compliance and security matters.
Because a competent ETA CPP-certified staff is considered crucial to maintaining a competitive advantage in the field, Payline Data professionals must complete a minimum of 36 hours of industry-related continuing professional education every three years. This is in addition to already meeting the program's education and experience requirements.
ETA is an international trade association representing more than 500 companies that offer electronic transaction processing products and services. Its mission is to advance the payments industry profession through education, advocacy and its ETA certification program.
