Consulting is a wide open market with different endgames and solutions. The hesitation by firms to use a consultant in their industry is how effective the results are. Many times when a consultant moves in, the way a firm does business can radically change, and as many know humans are resistant to change.
In this installment of MeetAdvisors’ Startup Story we take a look at Brian Enright of Compensation Consulting Consortium and the unique approach they take in consulting.
Enright’s inspiration in terms of entrepreneurship began with necessity and opportunity meeting at a precise impasse. He took the chance to be his own business owner in 2002 and since then has become a leader in his industry. He has avoided major obstacles by using intelligence, being well funded and preparing for success.
Compensation Consulting Consortium, or 3C, is a firm which helps to translate complex and technical advice into understandable terms for his clients. To address the common intimidation or apprehension expressed by clients, Enright allows for a performance pay method. So, in general, after a base payment, 3C measures the effectiveness of the results given after it provides consultation. It has translated into an enormous success.
The next step is growing a white page portfolio that seems to be prospering just as well as 3C’s efforts have.
Enright and 3C have had some major breakthroughs. The largest one came by “Overcoming the ‘boutique’ stigma and making advice easier to follow,” Enright said. By staying active and agile in the market 3C was able to expand and survive.
3C and Enright have seen success in the entrepreneurial world and received recognition. Enright is consistently quoted by the Wall Street Journal as an authority of what and how to approach different business solutions.
One thing’s for sure, Enright is a happy and successful entrepreneur and his startup spotlight is shining real bright.
