As a designer, you can earn some money for your work and get your work out there quickly! It costs as low as $29 to get everything started and some contests you can win over $500. 48 Hours Logo was created in 2010 by a group of freelance designers and has to this day created over 1.4 million logos.

Totspot is a place for moms to come together to buy and sell children’s clothing. This way your young ones clothes don’t just get thrown out or collect dust in your basement. The website has a similar look to Pinterest, which gives it a more modern feel. Totspots mission statement is to “empower moms to earn and save cash easily while on the go”. Thanks to Totspot, you can save up to 70% off retail price.

Ice Cream Apps is a website where you can get free and “tasty” computer software. They have software such as PDF converter, media converter, Ebook reader, n screen recorder, mage resizer, and more! Ice Cream App provides software with the most quality and easiest to use. They are an international company and all of their programs translate to French, German, Italian, Spanish, and many other languages. As of now, they only work on Windows operating system, but they are working hard to get their Mac version out soon.


4. 99Gamers 1


99Gamers is a website where gamers can come together and trade their games to each other. Originally started from an idea from Reddit, the company has already saved the gamer community over $1.2 million! Posting and buying games are completely free (all used with virtual coins) and the seller only pays a small shipping fee (under $3). 99Gamers is preferred over GameStop and Ebay and is backed by world-class investors.


5. 1 is an app, created by Dan Jacobs and Simon Grice, where you can combine your utilities, insurance, mortgage, warranties, and other paperwork. It reminds you to pay bills, renew a policy, and even suggests cheaper suppliers based on your usage. As of now, they are still crowdfunding and it doesn’t take much at all to help!

The Mixology app was created in 2009 and since then has become the #1 drink and cocktail app on the planet, with more than 10,000,000 downloads. Mixology prides itself on constantly growing as an app and expanding its target audience. So far the app already includes many features, such as the “liquor cabinet” where you can put in what drink ingredients you have and the app creates a drink for you. The “random” feature creates new drinks for you to try out and the more you rate drinks, the more the app can recommend drinks for you!


7. Couple 0


Couple was launched in 2012 by the company TenthBit Inc in California. This app is meant for any smartphone and on your computer. This is the best way for long distance couples to stay connected to each other. The app comes with a private timeline that only the two of you can see that includes a shared calendar, to do lists, and restaurants near each of you. You can send videos, stickers, and draw pictures together in real time. They even have this little thing called “thumb kiss” a cute way to let your significant other know you’re thinking of them. On their website, they have a real time map showing millions of other couples in long distance relationships and trending cities!  


8. Pipwest 0


Pipwest is a new app for your computer that is launching in Spring of 2015. It allows you to sync your smartphone (it doesn’t matter if Iphone or Andriod) to your computer, so you don’t have to constantly be looking at your phone! With Pipwest you can use 90% of your phones functions from your desktop, such as calling, messaging, and accessing apps.


9. Monument Valley 0

Monument Valley

Monument Valley is a beautifully designed game, brought to you by USTWO, for your smartphone and Ipad. You work through different levels of architecture and geometry as a princess trying to make it to the end. Monument Valley is the winner of the Apple Design Award in 2014 and the Best 3D Visual Experience in 2014. Currently they have 8 chapters to play through and now through December 7, if you purchase “Ida’s (RED) Dream” all the proceeds will go to help fight against AIDS.

Handmake Me

Handmake Me is a creation of Hobzy, which connects you to over 100,000 people in 120 countries. Handmake Me is the new place where you can find and buy handmade goods from around the world. For buyers it is great, because you know the history of the product you’re buying. And for sellers, they describe it as an “online craft fair”. There is no upfront charge or listing fee! Handmake Me also has guides, tools, and tutorials to help customize your page. They even do the marketing for you on Bing and Yahoo. The app versions of the website is coming soon!
