About Me

EMILY GARRITY is the co- Founder & President of ConnectVETS.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to “Transitioning Today’s Military to Tomorrow’s Workforce” by connecting United States military Service Members and Veterans to private sector employment opportunities.

She is a Marine Mom, Army wife, Army daughter, Army sister and Army niece.  She has been instrumental in the establishment and expansion of a highly specialized Veterans Employment Transition for Success (VETS) Online Curriculum and the soon to be launched Employer Partner Portal.

In addition to sitting on the National Louis University’s Veterans Advisory Board, she is a member of both the Employment & Training and Education working groups with the Illinois Joining Forces initiative, and is a co-chair of the Small Business Advocacy Council’s (SBAC) Veterans Committee.

Prior to these roles, she was a Board member for the GLMV Chamber, a Board Director for the Lake County Workforce Investment Board, member of Lake County Partners, Antioch Rotary and owned her own businesses.  She is a graduate of Arizona State University.
